Central Hockey LeagueThe Central Hockey League (CHL) will be entering its 17th season of play this fall 2009, with 16 member teams across nine states. The CHL saw more than 2.3 million fans attend games during the 2007-08 season and has led North American professional ‘AA’ hockey leagues in average attendance for six of the past seven seasons. In 2009, the CHL will welcome Independence, Missouri and Allen, Texas as expansion teams for the 2009-10 season. The CHL is administered by a wholly-owned subsidiary of Global Entertainment Corporation (NYSE Alternext US: GEE), a company engaged in sports management, multi-purpose events and entertainment center and related real estate development, facility and venue management and marketing, and venue ticketing.

Prior to the start of the 2008-09 CHL regular season, the league announced the Hat Tricks for Kids program, which reflected a partnership with Infinity Pro Sports and the CHL. The program will see Infinity Pro Sports donate $25 to the Hoffen Foundation for every hat trick scored throughout the 512-game regular season schedule. The CHL has selected Starlight to be the recipient of the money raised through the Hoffen Foundation with the CHL’s Hat Trick for Kids program. The money will be given to Starlight at the conclusion of the regular season to help seriously ill children and their families cope with the challenges of prolonged illness.

Fans are also able to donate money to the program through www.hattricksforkids.org. A running total of the number of hat tricks recorded and the number of dollars raised will be kept all season long on www.hattricksforkids.org.
